The acronym we’ve adopted as one of our go to “text or chat phrases” when in a hurry and pressed for time or even when we have all the time in the world. It’s too much to say ‘Be right back’ and much easier to just say ‘BRB.’
I sat and thought, as I always do, about the many different ways we could incorporate ‘BRB’ into our everyday lives and I came up when the best idea (ok probably not the best but allow me to be excited.)
Often times, we find ourselves constantly on the go and trying to stretch ourselves to thin. We do it with work, relationships, friends, everything it seems. We haven’t honed the confidence needed to tell people I’ll ‘BRB.’ It’s important to take time to rejuvenate yourself. Sometimes, we need to step away from the constant hustle and bustle we face on a day to day and say I need a min or two or three.
Living in New York City alone takes a lot of energy from me. Tack on my work/family life balance and my passions, my plate is full with no room for dessert. BUT I’ve found that if I just take a minute to step away and regroup, life is much better!
So, if you do nothing else this weekend, take a quick ‘BRB.’ You’ll thank me later.
