My heart trembles,
And here comes the rain beads with simple brush strokes down my brown canvas…
And I can taste the salt as my lips part,
And I feel the fear which silently turns into anger,
And I sit trying not to expose my waterfall of a masterpiece,
And suddenly everything around me slows down,
I am overwhelmed with sadness,
And I hear the megaphone inside my mental screaming “Life isn’t fair!”
And I return to now,
And slowly gather my being,
And I walk,
And I walk,
And I stop to reflect and say thank you.
